Cooperation with Angola


Diplomatic relations between the countries were established on November 11, 1975.



Before 1990, five vocational centers, a technical school, a hospital, two oil depots were built in Angola, a large amount of aircraft, automotive, agricultural and military equipment was delivered using credits granted by the USSR.

Currently, trade and economic relations between Russia and Angola are regulated by the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation of June 23, 1998. In order to develop and coordinate bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the Mixed Intergovernmental Russian-Angolan Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Trade was established in 2004.

During the visit of Angolan President Jose dos Santos to Russia on October 31, 2006, an intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation was signed. 

Rostec State Corporation has a representative office in Angola that ensures Rosoboronexport's interests.
